When I first came to Laney with Delicious Desserts, the cake wasn't "a top priority" for me. I was so wrong to underestimate the importance of a great cake! It's all people have been talking about since the wedding! Not only was the cake Laney created for our wedding beautiful, it tasted absolutely melt-in-your-mouth amazing! Laney thought of the idea to match the background of the cake to my bridesmaids blush dresses and then piped the lace from my dress onto the 4 tiers in white. It was just perfect. I am so thrilled I chose Delicious Desserts for our wedding cake and would highly recommend any bride to do the same! - 5.0 Wedding Wire
PS- She also made AMAZING personal sized cheesecakes for our rehearsal dinner that were out of this world!

Perfect cakes by a sweet lady! The ONLY thing better than having a perfectly delicious wedding and groom's cake is having the sweetest lady bake them for you. We only visited with two bakers, but Laney's personality alone sold us. She is beyond friendly and incredibly knowledgable. Besides that, our cakes were the best I have ever had! I am OBSESSED with hummingbird cake and hers is delicious. I have already tried to replicate it and it's impossible.
We showed up with pictrues that we loved and she talkedus through every picture, helping us decide which designs we liked best. If you have never met a perfectionist, Laney is one! My groom's cake was an elaborate LSU cake in the shape of a Fleur de Lis and it looked identical to the picture I showed her, if not better
Oh. my. gosh. Best wedding cake I've ever had, and our guests have said the same. I did a cake tasting with Laney because my photographer recommended her. I was planning my wedding from out of state so when I was in Charleston we did all the tastings on the same day. Bad mistake (apparently there IS such a thing as too much cake). We scheduled with her at the end of the day, and we were caked out! My family and I arrived to her place thinking, oh my, poor woman this is an uphill battle because we can't have anymore sugar. Well the joke was on us, buecause her cake was outstanding, not to mention she has the best personality and it was definitely the most FUN tasting we had all day. We booked her for a two tier wedding cake and also some mini cupcakes and mini bourbon pecan cheesecakes (these are a MUST!). Ask her to sample biscoff butter for a filling - life changing.
She emailed asking for our invitation and I sent her the link - she copied the palm tree from the invitation onto the top tier PERFECTLY.
She wasn't the cheapest quote I got from that day but her quote was definitely far less than I was expecting to pay for a wedding/desserts, and especially of such high quality. I fi I were local, I would most definitely hire her to do birthdays and anythig else I need dessert for. (Can I get your recipe for my wedding cake/frosting for personal use?! I need more of it in my life!)

Laney was FANTASTIC! She was my favorite vendor; so sweet and friendly! I planned my wedding, that was to take place in Charleston, from Seattle! But you never would know it, she was so flexible and was able to do most of our communications through email; super easy and efficent. I feel like Laney completely understood my vision for the cake and executed it perfectly. Plus,it was delicious! LOVE hummingbird cakes.

She was easy to get a hold of and easy to work with! Book early because she's so great I'm sure she'll be book up quickly for the upcoming year!!

I chose Delicious Desserts for my wedding cake because of my wedding planner. I had complete trust in my wedding planner to know who was the best, and he was 100% correct. Laney was a pleasure to work with. When my finace and I met her, I had no clue what I wanted my wedding cake to look like. She took the time to get to know me and when she drew thepicture of a cake she thought I would like, it was dead on. Also, I have never had a wedding cake that tastes so good. The caterer told us after the wedding that there was no cake left. They said normally they are throwing cake away because not everyone eats a piece, but that was not our case. And I would have to agree because I had 2 pieces!!!

Most delicious cake I've ever had! I can’t emphasize enough how great Laney was to work with on our wedding cake! She is such a sweet person and genuinely cares about making your big day special (I think she may have even teared up a few times during our first meeting). It’s nice to work with someone who cares so much about what they do. Going into it I didn’t really know what I wanted our wedding cake to be like, just that I wanted it to taste amazing. We knew as soon as we tasted the first bite of her cake that she was the right choice for us – every cake we sampled was soooo delicious! She also crafted a beautiful design for our wedding cake that was perfect for what we wanted. Ultimately we did a 3-tiered cake with 3 different flavors: yellow almond cake with amaretto mousse, devil’s food cake with chocolate mousse & raspberry filling, and carrot cake (my favorite). Everyone at our wedding raved about how beautiful and – most importantly – delicious the cake was! We couldn’t have been more pleased!

I want to thank you so much for the wonderful cake you made for Brian and Kelsey's wedding! It was "over the top," stunning, and absolutely the best wedding cake I have ever eaten! Everyone, and I mean everyone, said something to me about how beautiful it was! It was the "perfect" look for their wedding, and the taste was so good that nobody had the "crepe station" that we had for those who didn't eat cake!
We were in awe when we saw your cake for the first time. No one thought that the cake was real! You can tell how much time and energy went into it, and it is sooo appreciated! We all took pictures of it to show people who couldn't be there.

We ended up going with strawberry and white chocolate mousse and blueberry and white chocolate mousse and they were both absolutely delicious. The design was spot to my dress and embellished belt. the cake was amazing! I had many people say that they never eat wedding cake but that they tried it after everyone wouldn't stop talking about it.
